Coach admits the problem, Suarez is about to meet Messi

Despite only joining his current club this year, the Uruguayan attacker has been linked with a move to Inter Miami to join his former Barcelona teammates, including Lionel Messi.

Luis Suarez’s coach at Gremio has shockingly revealed that the forward’s future is a “problem” amid rumors that he could join Lionel Messi in MLS.

The prolific goalscoring duo had six great years at Barcelona, scoring a whopping 406 goals between them for the Camp Nou giants. With former teammates Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets joining Argentine icon Messi at Inter Miami this summer, rumors of a relocation to South Beach have circulated.

According to Diario Sport, the 36-year-old may be willing to effectively buy out his contract with his current employers. According to reports, the renowned striker may be willing to pay back his salaries from this calendar year as well as contribute an additional money to leave the Brazilian team.

Suarez is said to have told Gremio of his wish to leave the club this summer. The Uruguayan striker has been with Gremio since the beginning of the year, signing a two-year contract after leaving his hometown club Nacional.

Renato Gaucho, his head coach, has now issued an ultimatum to the club’s powers-that-be, implying that any decision about the ex-Liverpool star’s future is essentially out of his hands. Putting the onus on the club’s president and the player to make a decision soon, he appeared to be irritated by Messi’s antics, which have escalated since he put pen to paper and the possibility of a reunion became a possibility.

He said: “[Luis] Suarez is now a problem that is in the president’s hands. They are exchanging ideas. As a coach I have to focus on leading the team. seems like a Mexican soap opera that should end now. Until August 2 I’m quiet, then we’ll see how we continue.”

The 60-year-old manager insisted that he wanted the player to continue at the club he joined in January, but admitted that he couldn’t guarantee that the 137-time international agreed. He added: “Of course we want Suarez to stay. I can’t vouch for him. I know what he thinks and what the club thinks. For now, he has been talking to the board and the president.”

In truth, it has been a tumultuous few months for Suarez, who was erroneously linked with retirement back in June, with club president Alberto Guerra making claims to this end in a press conference. He said: “Luis Suarez is reaching the limit.

“In order to be able to play he gives himself almost daily injections and special treatments, he is in constant pain. It is serious. Suarez has the possibility of being fitted with a prosthesis.”

However, the former Ajax striker mocked Guerra’s statements after scoring in a 3-1 victory over América Mineiro the day before. Suarez, clearly seeing the amusing side of things, then resolved to issue a rather tongue-in-cheek response, sharing a zipper-mouth emoji on Instagram, along with photographs from the game.
