La La Land star Emma Stone shared with Vanity Fair for a cover story as she revealed how Jennifer Lawrence was great and vibrant and talented. Emma Stone said,
“She may not even know this, but there was definitely a time early on when I was like, ‘Oh hey, my ego is going nuts, she’s so great and vibrant and talented, I’m screwed, I’ll never work again, goodbye yellow brick road.’”
The actress confided her fear that she would never be able to establish herself like the Silver Lining Playbook star. However, she realized later that both the actors are different and share,
“There is room for everyone, even if it’s an industry that doesn’t really seem to support that idea up front.”
The actress further added,
“We both really do love each other and care about each other as people beyond being actors.”
They share years of bond and have given numerous joint interviews and gone on several public outings.
Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence’s friendship
Reportedly the two Hollywood ace actresses got in contact through mutual friend Woody Harrelson. Emma had asked for Jennifer’s number and contacted her through text.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Jennifer Lawrence revealed that Emma Stone messaged her, to which she replied,
“F*ck off.”
They have been good friends ever since, and they communicated over texts before finally they got time to meet each other. The Don’t Look Up star said,
“I feel like it was our version of The Notebook — 365 texts.”
The actress further revealed,
“We both really do love each other and care about each other as people, beyond being actors. I support her completely when it comes to work and I feel the same from her, but I know we’d be friends even if we didn’t do the same job.”
Interestingly, it was Jennifer Lawrence who inspired Emma Stone to do the role of Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man.
